ARRIVAL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

BY THE NEWARK LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Upon arrival at the terminal at Newark Airport, look for the monorail "AirTrain" service, and take the monorail to the "Newark International Airport Station of the New Jersey Transit train line."

Purchase a ticket or roundtrip tickets, if you're planning to return to the airport from Rutgers University, on NJ Transit to the New Brunswick Station at the airport terminal before boarding the monorail.
(NOTE: You are taking the Northeast Corridor Line to Trenton, New Jersey, but you will get off at the New Brunswick stop.)

NJ Transit trains run fairly frequently (usually every 30 minutes). For schedules, please click here.

BY TRAIN

New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor Line provides New Brunswick with both local and express services between New York and Newark's Penn Stations and Trenton, New Jersey. (For information, call 973-762-5100.)

WALKING DIRECTIONS:
From the New Brunswick Train Station to the Hyatt Regency
(0.3 miles - About 4 minutes.)

Look for Easton Ave or George St. and head southeast towards Albany St./Rt. 27.

Turn left at Albany St./Rt. 27

The Hyatt Regency will be on the right (~350ft.)

SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority) provides service between Philadelphia and Trenton (connect at Trenton to New Jersey Transit). For information, call 215-580-7800.

Amtrak provides limited direct service to New Brunswick, however, connections can easily be made via New Jersey Transit trains to principle Amtrak stations at MetroPark, New York, and Trenton. For information, call 1-800-USA-RAIL.

BY PUBLIC BUS

Suburban Transit: Buses leave from the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue and 42nd Street on a frequent schedule (leaving from Gate 420). Service to Princeton will stop at New Brunswick. Get off the bus at the New Brunswick Train Station and follow the walking directions from the New Brunswick Train Station above. BY CAB/TAXI

Cab services are available right at the base of the stairs for the New Brunswick Train Station. To call Black & White Cab, please call 732-545-6666.

NOTE: The Hyatt Regency is only a five-minute walk from the train station.

FROM NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE (NORTH OR SOUTH)

Turn off at Exit 9. After toll booths, bear to the right; follow signs for "Route 18 North - New Brunswick."

Follow directions for Route 18 below.

FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY (NORTH OR SOUTH)

SOUTHBOUND - Coming from northern New Jersey

Turn off at Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head south.

Follow directions to the Hyatt Regency from Route 18 below.

NORTHBOUND - Coming from southern New Jersey

Turn off at Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North.

After approximately 24 miles, you will pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike and continue north on Route 18 North.

FROM ROUTE 18 (GOING NORTH)

Proceed north on Route 18.

Take the New St. exit.

Turn right at Neilson St.

Turn right at Albany St./Rt. 27.

FROM ROUTE 1 (NORTH OR SOUTH)

Turn off at exit marked "Route 18 North-New Brunswick."

Follow directions to the Hyatt Regency from Route 18 North above.

FROM ROUTE 287 (NORTH OR SOUTH)

Turn off at Exit 10 for Easton Ave/Co Hwy 527 toward S. Bound Brook/New Brunswick.

Merge onto Easton Ave.

Slight right to stay on Easton Ave. and continue to stay on Easton Ave. for 3 miles.

Turn left at Albany St./Rt. 27.
