Especially as students living in the United States, every aspect of our lives is influenced by the media. Newspapers, books, magazines, movies, television, the radio, and especially the Internet, have seeped into our everyday routines, whether we notice it or not. Although its implementation may be more subtle, the effects of the media are very powerful and can be felt all around. Asian Americans are no exception to this rule.
One of the main features of this blog will be interviews that I will be conducting with various fellow Asian Americans, both well known and more “underground”, from as many different fields as possible. My ultimate goal is to be able to put together a publication with complete compilation of these interviews, in hopes to inspire more Asian Americans to not shy away from pursuing a future in the media.
This blog will focus on three specific areas in regards to the media and its relationship with Asian Americans.
- Exposure to various Asian Americans in the media, especially “up and coming” talent
- Discussions on various issues of Asian Americans in the media
- Inspiration for Asian Americans to venture into media related fields
