Fact of the Day (11/24)- Asian Americans in Education

Contrary to popular belief, the Asian American student population is concentrated in a small percentage of institutions around the nation, which gives a false notion of greater enrollment in higher education. In 2000, two-thirds of the APIA students attended only 200 higher education institutions in eight states, which is less than five percent of all title IV schools nationally. In addition, nearly half of all APIA students attend colleges in just California, Texas, and New York.
