Register Now for NYC Engage 2012 National Summit!

Women of Color Policy Network, NYU Wagner would like to invite you to attend  the opening event for Engage 2012, a national summit of policy experts, practitioners, thought leaders and key stakeholders working on issues related to immigration, racial justice and equity, economic security, LGBTQ rights and reproductive and environmental justice. 

The opening event, held Thursday December 8, 2011 at the Kimmel Center at New York University from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. will bring together a cross-section of leading national civil and human rights leaders to discuss what it will take to get the country back on track, the role of government and the Administration in rebuilding the national economy, and strategies to mobilize communities and reenergize voters. 

The  event will be moderated by Sheryl Huggins Solomon, Managing Editor of The Root and include Anika Rahman, President and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women, Maria Teresa Kumar, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Voto Latino, Susan Herman, President of the ACLU, Rea Carey, Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and ProfessorMarc Lamont Hillhost of Our World with Black Enterprise Television, among others.

Engage2012 is hosted by the Women of Color Policy Network at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and is co-sponsored by the  Applied Research Center, Rock the Vote, Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Rock the Vote, Voto Latino, Women's Funding Network, Demos, National Council of La Raza, Ms. Foundation for Women, National Urban League, Ford Foundation, The Opportunity Agenda and Open Society Foundations.
