ECAASU Announces New Leadership

The East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU) announces its new National Board for the 2018-2019 term. Shelley Shin, who formerly served as Director of Development, will lead the National Board as the new Executive Director. Shin succeeds Executive Director Kathryn Quintin, who served in the role for two years.

The 2018-2019 National Board will be the 10th National Board since ECAASU was incorporated as a nonprofit in the Spring of 2008. Joining Shin in ECAASU’s leadership is Nicholas Hatcher as Associate Director, Andrea Namkung as Director of Development, Kevin Koo as Director of Advocacy, Hannah Song as Director of Outreach, and Aishika Jennela as Director of Communications. Together, the new leadership brings a combined nine years of experience with ECAASU.

Additionally, Steven Wu, Gurtegh Singh, and Leangelo Acuna have joined our Board of Directors. All three have extensive experience working with Asian American communities in their local towns.

We are excited to see ECAASU’s growth under the new leadership and look forward to their achievements through the year. To view more information about the new National Board, as well as individual bios, please visit ecaasu.org/nationalboard/
