ECAASU Announces New Leadership for 2019 - 2020

The East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU) hosted its annual National Board retreat this past weekend for new and returning members, with Shelley Shin continuing in her second and last year as the Executive Director of the board.

The 2019 - 2020 National Board will be the 11th National Board since ECAASU was incorporated as a nonprofit in the Spring of 2008. Joining Shin in ECAASU’s leadership is Hannah Song as Associate Director, Miru Osuga as Director of Advocacy, Aishika Jennela as Director of Communications, Connie Rab as Director of Development, and Christine Lee as Director of Outreach. Together, the new leadership brings a combined twelve years of experience with ECAASU.

Additionally, Nayab Khan, Michael Chiang, Kevin Koo, and Nicholas Hatcher have joined our Board of Directors. All four have extensive experience working with Asian American communities in their local towns and were core members of the National Board before joining the Board of Directors.

We are excited to see ECAASU’s growth under the new leadership and look forward to their achievements throughout the year. To view more information about the new National Board, as well as individual bios, please visit ecaasu.org/nationalboard/
