Aishika Jennela

Aishika is a recent media studies graduate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She spent most of her life in Philly after immigrating to the states in the late 90s from India. While at Temple, Aishika was an active member of Temple’s Asian Students Association, where she held several positions, including Director of Public Relations and Vice President. She also participated in other organizations, like the South Asian Students Association and the National Association of Asian American Professionals. During her undergraduate career, Aishika volunteered with Asian Americans United, a local non-profit advocating for Asian American and immigrant rights in the city, among other initiatives, and helped them with event photography and coordinating social media for their annual Mid-Autumn Festival in September. Eventually, she wants to work to in media and Hollywood to represent the narratives of marginalized communities. Her second year on National Board, as Director of Communications, Aishika intends to grow ECAASU's media presence further and create a platform for Pan-Asian student voices. In her free time, she likes to go on spontaneous trips, have photo shoots with friends, and eat cake.
