Catherine Wong currently serves on the Board of Directors and previously served on ECAASU as the Director of Development in 2014. She began her involvement in the AAPI space through the Asian American Federation of Florida (AAFF) since 2011, to being on the Asian American Justice Center (AAJC) Youth Advisory Council in 2012, to interning for Asian & Pacific Islander American (APIA) Vote in the summer of 2012, and more recently serving as an E3! Ambassador at the White House Initiative for Asian American and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) in 2015.
Catherine's interests include the integration of health policy, medicine, public health, and wellness. After obtaining her MPH in 2015, she worked as a clinic manager at a private primary care practice in an area of critical medical need and helped find and launch Be Well Plus, a patient education and resource center. She is currently matriculating into a Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of Florida.
She hopes to serve as a mentor to students who are in STEM and are looking for pathways into public service. She is passionate in bringing more scientific minds and expertise to the table when it comes to the political process.
