Ethan is a Taiwanese-Chinese American born in Burbank, California. He currently attends Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut majoring in political science and minoring in legal studies. His passion for advancing AAPI issues is derived from growing up with a Taiwanese politician for a grandpa and living near the San Gabriel Valley, a thriving AAPI community. At Trinity he serves as the secretary of the Asian American Student Association (AASA) and works in the Office of Multicultural Affairs amongst other things. As a freshman he established AASA’s first annual intercollegiate conference alongside a network of collegiate AAPI organizations in Connecticut. When he isn’t knee deep in coursework or planning out AASA’s next big move, he loves to cook, go to the gym, be a foodie, and drink a ton of boba. In the future he wants to be a politician and also start a non-profit that focuses on empowering underrepresented communities.
