Gurtegh is currently serving on the Board of Directors, having started in 2018. He has served his local Sikh community in South Florida through media outreach, fundraising, and assisting the youths in the area. Due to many Sikh teens being first generation US citizens and parents not understanding the college application process, he is fostering their growth with assistance in writing college essays, preparing for the SATs, and vetting college applications.
Born and raised in South Florida, Gurtegh completed his undergraduate from the University of Miami with a BA in Economics (2012) and went on to complete his MBA from the University of Miami with concentrations in Lean Six Sigma, Management, and International Business (2014). During his MBA, he complete all of the requirements and received his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Additionally, he served as a Cohort Representative and later, Vice President of the Graduate Business Student Association. Following his MBA, Gurtegh went on to law school at graduated from Emory University (2017) with a certificate in Transactional Law. He served on the Student Bar Association as a 2L and 3L Representative. Today, he works at City Furniture, the largest furniture retailer in Florida, as the Strategic and Legal Project Manager, working on cross-functional strategic implementations and initiatives, and working closely with the General Counsel on various transactional legal matters, such as contract management, intellectual property, real estate, and corporate governance.
