Kevin is a second-generation Korean American from Queens/Long Island, New York. He graduated from Tufts University with a B.S. in Biochemistry, and considers the APIA community at Tufts to have sparked his passion for APIA issues & racial justice.
Eager to foster discussion regarding race and intersectional identity among APIA students on Tufts campus, Kevin’s last year at Tufts was spent as co-president of Tufts Asian Student Coalition (TASC), senior advisor of Tufts Korean Student Association (KSA), and council representative of Tufts Pan-Asian Council (PAC).
Based in the D.C. area, Kevin currently works at the Council of Korean Americans (CKA) as a Community Engagement Associate. In his free time, Kevin loves to learn how to cook Korean food from Internet recipes, hoard cute stationery and buttons that he’ll never use, and tear up to sentimental Korean films and songs.
This will be Kevin’s third year serving on the National Board; he previously served as a Programs Specialist and the Advocacy Coordinator for ECAASU.
