Leangelo Acuna

Leangelo Acuna is currently serving on the Board of Directors having previously contributed as the Campus Summits Coordinator. Leangelo became involved in the APIA community and race issues at the University of Virginia with the Organization of Young Filipino Americans and other minority student groups. By joining ECAASU, he hopes to bring attention to the needs and diverse experiences of APIA students on campuses where there is little to no resources or institutional support.

Based in the DMV area, Leangelo currently works at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) as a Program Assistant for their Gates Millennium Scholarship. Prior, he was an intern for the Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) and Congressman Mike Honda (D-Silicon Valley). In his free time, Leangelo loves to cook, wander big cities, tweet, and indulge in his most recent TV obsession.
