Sabrina Cheung

Sabrina is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She majors in interactive multimedia in the School of Media and Journalism, studying the intersections of storytelling, programming, and design. She is interested in data-driven journalism and how emerging technologies such as AR/VR are shaping news and storytelling. For this year’s National Board, she aims to complement the work of every team, from providing social media reports to generating appropriate data visualizations and statistical analyses. Sabrina is also involved in AAPI advocacy at UNC-Chapel Hill. She has directed the UNC AAPI Working Group, a group dedicated to securing resources such as a space, Asian American Studies and staff for the UNC AAPI community. She served on planning committees for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) and APIAutumn (UNC-CH’s fall APAHM).

Previously, Sabrina served as Social Media Coordinator and was on the 2017 Conference Team.
