Tony is a first generation Vietnamese American who enjoys subtropical Mediterranean weather and milk tea. He graduated from Brandeis University in 2017 with a degree in Neuroscience, Biology, and Health policy. With aspirations to become a physician and policymaker, he hopes to one day reconstruct our terrible American healthcare system which often leaves many communities of colors underserved and underinsured. His journey with AAPI social justice began his freshmen year when he joined the Brandeis Asian American Students Association (BAASA) as their representative to the Intercultural Center. During his time at Brandeis, he served as the Vice-president of BAASA, President of VSA, and was a member of the Faculty-Student Committee on Asian American Pacific Islander studies.
Based in the Boston area, Tony currently works as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institue within the Hematological Malignancy division. In his free time, he enjoys reading manga, learning how to cook food, trying new skincare products, and doing yoga. One day he hopes to open the perfect milk tea cafe where he can waste his life away.
Previously, Tony served as the Affiliate Organization Coordinator from 2015-17 and the Director of Outreach from 2017-2018. This will be his fourth year with ECAASU.
