Meet Conference Board 2026-2027

Zack Yen is a Campus Summits Coordinator from Los Angeles, California. Zack is a second-year student at Emory University, double-majoring in Political Science and East Asian Studies. Zack developed a passion for advocacy through his involvement in grassroots outreach and community organizing in Georgia, a swing state. More recently, he has continued this work through organizations like the East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU), the Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment (CAUSE), and APIDAA (Emory’s Pan-Asian Activism Club). In his free time, Zack enjoys playing the clarinet and saxophone, solving Sudoku puzzles, and watching basketball.

He is an undergraduate student studying Public Health and Political Science at Florida State University. As a Chinese adoptee, he is passionate about connecting and engaging with the AANHPI community through various organizations like ECAASU, APIAVote, Florida Asian American Student Union (FAASU), and FSU's AASU. In his free time, Sawyer enjoys watching sports, listening to music, going on walks, and spending time with friends.

Sarah Jo is the ECAASU 2027 Conference Director. She is a Korean American who was born and raised in San Jose, California. She is a third year student studying Pure Mathematics and American Studies at Emory University, with a focus on critical technocultural discourse analysis of Asian American racialization. Her passion for advocacy grew through her involvement with APIDAA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Activists), and she plans to continue community organizing efforts at Emory as APIDAA's Co-President. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching films, maintaining her Washington Post crossword streak, and writing.

He is a Bengali American studying Biology at Emory University interested in healthcare and advocacy.
